Alimatha Island Vaavu Atoll Maladewa - The resort has one of the best fishing areas where fishing is guaranteed, especially marlins. Very local with lots of palms and beach, right round the island. wonderful trip to Maldives. Alimatha was completely renovated in the late 1990s. The resort can be conveniently accessed by the speed boat and seaplane. we got delighted by the magnificent ambience of the resort and by the lot of excellent services offered by resort.
The lights from the jetty illuminate the waters at night and with the additional help of an underwater torchlight, get ready for an amazing show. 1-2metre long nurse sharks, large sting rays and giant trevally swim all around you freely. So close they sometimes brush past you. Stay calm at the sea bed and just enjoy. Its only about 5metres deep. Great for snorkellers too. Best dive ever!
